Trans in Form communication team was wondering what are the news and ongoing activities in project partners when the autumn is almost here and the second milestone has started. Swedish partner Tranemo, who is one of the partners working on their pilot projects, confirmed they definitely have plans for participation in the coming TiF events in Östfold, Jelgava and Italy. Is there any news on the development of the pilot?
Tranemo idea for the pilot project is to rebuild an old industrial building that is located in the very centre of Tranemo Municipality. The building is supposed to become and attractive modern library with a lot of interactive spaces around it. The shabby place could become a meeting point for locals in a near future. Currently the initiative group is working with the physical plan for the area near by the lake.
In the work package 4 on “New narratives and storytelling” Tranemo has a small group that will try to identify what kind of stories they need for their place, who will tell them and how they will be presented.
The region also has another project in this field. It is about taking care of old amateur films about history and local stories in the region. The plan is to transform them into a modern media (Filmarvet: The film heritage).
The coordinator in Tranemo Staffan Arvegaard mentioned they have one more EU-funded project for Tranemo centre development. This one will be mainly working on Tranemo streets and shops. The responsibility of the project belongs to the organization of shops owners. Trans in Form will be somehow connected to this project as both of them have many things in common and almost the same goals in the place.
The municipality is in addition involved in “Tranemodellen” project that is developing creative rooms in different villages in the municipality and also in other municipalities in the region.
Tranemo has set the date 15th September for having a premiere to show the results so far publicly. Their wish is to organize a workshop or a seminar in Tranemo about story telling and among all the other things involve presentation of “Filmarvet”.
