The second methodology workshop was held within the Trans in Form project 5 – 7 May in Potsdam, Germany. The event is one of the three methodology events in the project based on key work packages. Joint international team of experts on city planning, innovative architecture and attractiveness shared the main guiding advices and ideas. In addition there were a number of examples coming from various places in the Baltic Sea Region.

 The first day of the meeting was mostly used for study visits to valuable examples in the Havelland Flaeming region. Project participants who are planners, architects, decision makers and administration workers were taken to Trebbin town where many public spaces were reconstructed and reshaped dramatically during some previous undergoing projects. Several new public squares, access to the church and water paths with a city symbol was created. Event participants were also taken to the town of Berlitz that was a good example of a beautiful small town with its history and a brand of asparagus.

The second day was dedicated for sharing of methodologies for scenario planning. It explained how the scenario planning workshops should be organized, how big it should be and what kind of people has to be involved. This time the analyzis of attractivity was made for Germany and the Havelland Flaeming region.

The guidlines for scenario planning will be presented in the nearest future.

More busy and cosy main street wanted !

Labour party wish to improve Ørje center

The Labour party in Marker Municipality which has the majority in the council recently stated that they will promote a more intimate, cosy and busy main street. They look forward to get ideas from the inhabitants and to work with external experts through the Transinform project. Mayor Stein Erik Lauvås and Vice Mayor Rita Berget Lindblad are looking forward to the workshop with Michael Fuller-Gee which will take place in June.
