Communication manager Alf S. Johansen recently published an article in the local newspaper "Smaalenenes Avis". He challenged the citizens to engage in the development of the region "Inner Østfold" and asked for more committment on quality investments. Enterprises as well as public authorities should ask themselves what kind of region they want to have, urban sprwal which in Norway has the special nickname "Harry land" or attractive communities.
In the article it's also focused how planners and decision makers from Østfold and Telemark in Norway can learn from partners in other countries.
The Glava building is an example of a good piece of architecture which saved a project which could have become a disaster given another solution.
