"The start of a new era", these were the words used when Mayor Jørn Christensen opened TELEMARK TECHNOLOGY PARK on November 14th. The new building is located on the shores of Heddal Lake; a perfect place for engineering and testing subsea equipment. The entrepreneur Thor Olav Sperre had the ideas and together with support from the development agency NUAS these ideas have come into life.

The companies involved are among others the consortium of companies working with subsea technology world wide Subsea Valley. The park covers 55.000 m² and the new building 12.000 m² is opened for the testing and building of technology for international offshore industries.

Through interdisciplinary cooperation within the stakeholders established in the park, new windows have been opened for bigger projects than ever.

The new premises offer good infrastructure and will be the workplace for more than 150 people. Telemark Technology Park has really made a difference as for the transformation of Notodden with urban design, in other words a piece of news that is in the spirit of Trans in Form.
